That was my neighbor’s license plate. It took me quite some time to figure out its meaning.
He was a golfer. I wasn’t much of one then and I’m not much of one now.
But after some indeterminate amount of time, I figured out this clever little acronym.
Keep Your F****** Head Down.
It’s good advice to remember out on the links.
In fact, if you only remember one thing at all – that’s it.
A little aggressive (such vulgarity!), but memorable to be sure.
I’m pondering a similar license plate:
No – it’s not Kentucky Fried Chicken University.
That doesn’t make any sense. (Or does it?)
Keep Your F****** Chin Up.
There are lots of reasons to feel sorry for yourself these days.
- The government….
- The housing market….
- The price of gas….
- The state of your golf game….
Buck up, camper.
If not for yourself, do it for those around you.
To borrow the mantra from WXRT Chicago radio host Lin Brehmer: “It’s great to be alive.”
Yeah, it is.
Bradley Hartmann is founder and el presidente at Red Angle (www.redanglespanish.com), a Spanish language training firm focused on the construction industry. He likes golf, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Universities and Lin Brehmer. And yes – both license plates referenced are available.
