You may have heard the phrase, “Demography is destiny.”
That is, the mathematics of demography will determine who is elected.
Understand the demographics + Appeal to the demographics = Victory
(That and making sure the voters show up….)
Here at The Red Angle blog we talk about Hispanic demographics frequently because the political destiny is the same as our construction destiny. As the 52M Hispanics in the U.S. grows to 60M in the coming years, the demographics of our jobsites are changing as well.
For many jobsites, Spanish is the dominant language.
It’s a fact.
It’s our current reality… and our destiny.
So, let’s get on with how to best lead and manage in this new reality.
In discussing demographics, I’ve found bar graphs and pie charts often fail to adequately convey the magnitude of the Hispanic population boom. The boring mathematical representations fail to tell a memorable story of what is happening – and at what scale.
